Bad track. It stays in my mind as it was the first tune I played out and got into dj’ing by mistake. Plus I had my first trip that night. COOOOOOOOOL!

Congress – 40 Miles - Inner Rhythm
One of the all time tracks. Where ever, when ever the tune got me jumping. One of the best tunes to mix into any track of the time.

LFO – LFO - Warp
Just a top tune. Sheffield at it’s best.

Derrick May - Strings of Life
In fact any of the Derrick May tracks of the early rave years were just out of this world. Or was it my mind. Well what ever the tunes made me smile.

Test one – Sweet Exorcist - Warp
The ultimate bleep tune. The vocal “Dark Side of the moon play the five tones” just sent you into a bit of a frenzy. Then came the bleeps. Old favorite of Alistair Whitehead (Kool Kat- Nottingham)

Anthema – Nebula 2 - Reinforced
My first and biggest tune. It meant a lot when I heard the day after the promos went out Top Buzz played it the Coventry Eclipse

Mr Kirks Nightmare – 4 Hero - Reinforced
First real break beat track played by dj Sy at Venus – Nottingham. I remember when people heard it for the first time the club smelt of poppers as everyone wanted to feel the vibe. And what a vibe the tune gave. Boooooooooo.

Peace and Harmony – Brothers in Rhythm - 4th & Broadway
Love the piano tunes when after dancing for hours and hours to hardcore a break was needed and this tune summed up the whole vibe and feeling at the time. It still should stand today. Peace x

Made in 2 minutes – Plastic Jam - Optimum
A tune that got played at the end of most nights at the Marcus Garvey and CJ’s in Sheffield. Time to go home and ………………………… carry on the party.

Mentasm – Mentasm - R&S
This track gave a whole new meaning to the word rave. The sound is rave the tune is rave. I just want to go and party now.

Trust me about the tune that didn’t come to mind straight away like Voodoo Ray (A Guy Called Gerald), Everybody in the place (The Prodigy), Land Lord (Land Lord) and many others made my life. I hope something like rave and the life style happens again at some time.
